Costa Rica Property - 4 Reasons It Will Continue To Soar In Value

By Bridgette Campbell

The property prices in Costa Rica are continuing to soar. Many investors are taking notices as others are doubling their investments annually. The question then, is this going to continue? The answer is an absolute YES! The key then is to get on it and make some great profits with low risk.

Costa Rica is not alone in their industry; there are other countries that are competing against them, places like Honduras, Belize and Nicaragua. The difference is that these other countries do not offer the same risk reward that Costa Rica does.

So why will Costa Rica property prices continue to soar in value?

1. It?s an Established Market

For over ten years the market in Costa Rica has grown and stabilized. Some investors think that prices cannot get higher, but in fact they can.

This is due to the fact that the reasons for this growth ten years ago are still present today; continuing to drive prices higher and in fact are expected to accelerate!

Investment is at record highs and rising, and this will continue to drive prices higher.

2. The Rewards are high while the risks are low

One of the key aspects to the popularity of Costa Rican property is that it is 70% cheaper than land in the southern US, and is in a stable and beautiful country.

Even with all these facts there are some who believe that buying in places like Nicaragua will guarantee cheaper land with a high upside. This idea however is simply- an idea. An idea that is incorrect. While it might look like a market is taking off it does not mean that it will, in fact most don?t. It is cheap for a reason.

What?s important to remember is that you do not want to buy the cheapest land! The key is to buy property that is competitively priced with little risk and great return potential. What?s great is that this is exactly the kind of land that Costa Rica offers.

3. It has an expat community that is already established

Those who are looking to buy land or investing usually look to others who have already invested and are living in the country from their own nation.

When an expat community begins to establish itself it attracts other expats. While some like living in a country where they are the only ones, most do not.

For example Canadians and Americans like to come to Costa Rica because the locals are so welcoming and friendly. In addition they also have their own community where they can feel at home.

4. Outside Factors- The major one to drive prices

Consider this

The baby boomers are getting to the point where they are looking to retire are faced with this scenario:

Most of these retirees will not be able to maintain the same standard of living that they are used to. State support has lessened while medical costs are only increasing. They?re living longer and yet haven?t been able to save enough.

So what?s to be done? Many are looking to Costa Rica as a godsend; a way to either maintain their way of life, or even improve it surrounded by beauty. They?re buying up property in increasingly large numbers

With the baby boomers retiring, the upward trend in Costa Rican property prices will continue to rise and will create opportunities for double digit profits with low risk.
