Living in the oasis of Costa Rica?s unsurpassed beauty is a statement of personal freedom. If you are one who is interested in nestling yourself between the clear blue waters of the Caribbean and those of the Pacific to find ?the perfect wave,? then Costa Rica is the place for you! Surfers, retirees and adventurers alike all flock to these beautiful shores to practice their skill at living a life full of adventure and quality.

As a result Costa Rica?s real estate is booming, as more and more investors and developers from around the world are hearing that Costa Rica has favorable tax laws, inexpensive land, and a stable environment.

Another aspect in Costa Rica that is garnering attention around the world is their high quality of cosmetic surgery. Many are traveling to Costa Rica to experience their excellent and affordable health care by U.S trained, English speaking physicians who uses state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Costa Rica also has a large American community, as travelers and investors come to the rich land, they have no desire to leave. There are approximately 50,000 Americans taking in the great weather that is year round and an average temperature of 89 degrees F on the Pacific seacoast.

While the country is merely the size of West Virginia it actually houses 5% of the Earth?s known species! Costa Rica is rich in with tropical rainforests, seven active volcanoes and over 60 dormant ones. In the mountain forests over 9,000 species of plants, including 1,400 species of orchids, and exotic animals can be found. There are also numerous national parks that are world renowned.

The water in Costa Rica is clean and drinkable throughout the whole country, allowing for a welcoming community that is not only warm and hospitable but healthy and strong. Those who are not American, emulate Americans, and speak English.

Since Costa Rica has such a solid infrastructure even in the smallest towns in Costa Rica you can find electricity. In fact Costa Rica has the best telecommunications in Central America with cell phone service, 120 radio stations, a dozen TV stations and internet accessibility in practically every town.

According to the Travel writer, Christopher P. Baker claims that Costa Rica?s history as Central Americas most stable democracy is a long and proud one. Elections are so trouble-free that crowd control at polling stations is handled partly by school age children. There is no army in this neutral country and the Ticos (friendly Costa Ricans) pride themselves in having more teachers than policemen.

While the cost of real estate in South Florida and Southern California are soaring, Costa Rica offers an appealing alternative. If you are looking for a vacation or retirement home and want to maintain the amenities that you find comfortable in the USA, then Costa Rica offers this at a fraction of the cost. It is a sound investment, offering tranquility, peace and harmony.
